Analisis Mendalam Monad Labs: Bagaimana Blockchain EVM L1 Generasi Baru Berperforma Tinggi Merevolusi Dunia Kripto
On November 24, 2025, Monad officially launched its mainnet, marking the birth of a new high-performance EVM-compatible public blockchain. The project not only secured $19 million in funding led by Dragonfly Capital, but also brought together top trading system experts from Jump Trading.
As of January 9, 2026, the MON token was trading at $0.0273 on Gate, with a market capitalization of $295 million.
01 Project Vision
Monad Labs was founded in 2022 with a clear and ambitious mission: to fundamentally break the blockchain "trilemma"—achieving decentralization, security, and high performance simultaneously.
This goal addresses the core challenges faced by existing blockchains like Ethereum. Traditional blockchains often hit performance bottlenecks when handling complex applications and large user bases, leading to soaring transaction fees and longer confirmation times, which in turn limit the adoption and growth of decentralized applications.
The team’s background is impressive. CEO Keone Hon spent eight years at Jump Trading, leading a high-frequency trading team. CTO James Hunsaker is an expert in systems engineering and low-latency optimization. Their deep understanding of the financial industry’s demands for speed and efficiency sets Monad apart.
02 Technological Breakthroughs
Monad’s core philosophy is to achieve performance breakthroughs through deep technical innovation rather than simply scaling up hardware. The project has made fundamental optimizations in four key areas, aiming for 10,000 TPS throughput and sub-second transaction finality.
The MonadBFT consensus mechanism is one of the project’s core innovations. Building on the HotStuff protocol, this high-performance consensus mechanism addresses the issue of late-stage forks and significantly boosts network efficiency.
Parallel execution technology is another major highlight for Monad. Unlike Ethereum’s single-threaded execution, Monad allows multiple non-overlapping transactions to run simultaneously, dramatically increasing throughput. This design means applications deployed on Monad will experience unprecedented responsiveness.
MonadDB is a custom database designed specifically for blockchain state storage. By natively implementing the MPT data structure and leveraging the latest asynchronous I/O technology, it significantly improves data access efficiency and lowers the hardware requirements for node operators.
Full EVM compatibility is another strategic choice for Monad. Developers can seamlessly migrate existing Ethereum smart contracts and use familiar tools without modifying code. This compatibility greatly reduces migration costs for both developers and users.
03 Tokenomics
The MON token is the native asset of the Monad network, with an initial total supply of 10 billion created at mainnet launch. The primary uses of the token include paying transaction fees and participating in staking to help secure the network.
In terms of allocation, the ecosystem development fund holds the largest share at 38.5%, dedicated to supporting the network’s long-term growth. The team receives 27%, investors 19.7%, public sale 7.5%, and airdrops account for 3.3%.
The token lockup mechanism ensures the project’s long-term stability. All team and investor tokens are locked for at least one year after mainnet launch and then released gradually according to a set schedule. This design helps prevent early market sell-offs and encourages long-term participation.
MON’s economic model combines inflationary and deflationary mechanisms. New tokens are minted as validator rewards with each new block, while a portion of each transaction’s base fee is burned. This balanced approach aims to maintain network security and long-term token value stability.
04 Market Performance
As of January 9, 2026, the MON token was trading at $0.0273 on Gate, with a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $111 million and a market capitalization of $295 million.
The current circulating supply is about 10.83 billion MON, representing roughly 10.8% of the total supply, in line with the project’s early release plan. These circulating tokens primarily come from public sales and airdrop distributions.
Looking at price history, MON reached an all-time high of $0.04876 on November 26, 2025, and a record low of $0.01666 on December 18, 2025.
Market interest in Monad continues to grow, driven by its technological innovation and the strong demand for high-performance EVM chains. As the ecosystem matures, MON’s market performance will be one to watch.
05 Ecosystem Development and Roadmap
Monad’s ecosystem development is underway, with the project actively partnering with key infrastructure providers. It has already announced collaborations with cross-chain protocols such as LayerZero and Wormhole, which will support multi-chain asset flows.
Community engagement is strong, with developer activity rising globally. In early 2026, Monad organized offline hackathons in cities like Shenzhen and Chengdu, encouraging developers to explore the Monad ecosystem.
On the technical roadmap, the team continues to optimize core protocols. Future priorities include enhancing network stability, expanding the ecosystem, and promoting decentralized governance. The Monad Foundation will delegate a portion of ecosystem tokens to validators, supporting both network security and community participation.
For users and investors, MON tokens are easily tradable on Gate, offering a gateway to participate in this emerging high-performance blockchain. As the Monad ecosystem expands and more applications are deployed, network usage and token value are expected to strengthen further.
Looking Ahead
The MON token price flickers on Gate’s trading screens, while Monad’s grand vision is just beginning to unfold. At the Chengdu hackathon, developers are deeply focused on debugging smart contract code.
Created by former Jump Trading team members, this project not only embodies the technical community’s pursuit of blockchain performance limits but also signals the potential for mass adoption of decentralized applications.
As Monad’s parallel execution engine runs at full throttle, we may soon witness a next-generation blockchain capable of supporting hundreds of millions of users worldwide. On Gate, the MON token’s price is just the economic footnote to this unfolding story.
